A little hobby that I do these days.
サテンリボンを使ってレイを作るのが好き。レイとはハワイなどで生花を使ってお祝いごとなどに相手に渡す首飾りのこと。アメリカでも卒業式などではよくくれます。私の時はキャンディーを一つづつラッピングして作ったりしました。
I like to make leis out of ribbons. I used to make candy leis for graduations and special events.
リボンレイは初心者用の作れる本があったのでそれを購入したのがきっかけ。そのままずっと作ってなかったけど時間ができたので挑戦してみることに。無心になって糸を通します。形を整えるのが意外と難しい。
I bought a ribbon lei for beginners book a looonnng time ago and didn't have the chance to start. But here I am having time in my hands so decided to try it out. You get sucked in once you start, not thinking anything while you are stitching. Making a good shape is pretty hard but you get used to it in a while.
ピンク、黄色は作ってみたので今回は紫に挑戦。ドブロブニクで買ったラベンダーのサッシェがいい匂いで癒されます。
I made pink and yellow ones already so trying out for purple this time. The lavender sache which I bought in Croatia smells nice inside the basket.
