I have been out for a few days.
弾丸ロンドン観光してきました。
Went for petit trip to London.
どーしても行ってみたかったアフタヌーンティー。念願叶っていけました。
The place I wanted to go the most. The real afternoon tea in London!! Well it came true :)
Sketchと言うお店へ。オックスフォードサーカスからほど近い場所にあります。
We went to restaurant 'Sketch'. Not far from the Oxford Circus.
お店のコンセプトがモダンということで行ってみました。
The store review said the interior was modern so we decided to see how it was :)
玄関から確かにアンティークとモダンの組み合わせのような空間。ナノブロックのフィギュアがたくさん置いてあって面白かった。
As we entered the entrance, the reception was cute with mixture of antique wall paper and nano block figures on display.
所々にお花も綺麗に飾ってあるのと大好きなDiptyque candleが。いい香りに包まれていました。
It had cute little flower arrangement along with the candle I like, Diptyque.
中に進むとこんな素敵な空間が！女の子なら誰でもあっと行ってしまう全面ピンク！素敵すぎる。金色のディスプレイはおしゃれなランプ。空間を崩さないような控えめのランプでした。
As we went inside, the room was pink pink pink...!! Everything from the wall to the sofa, linens were all PINK! :) Any girl would fall in love with this place at first sight. The golden colored lamps was elegant and fitted perfectly to the atmosphere.
壁に飾ってあったイラストは結構謎でした。笑
The illustrations on the wall were quite weird but I guess it was ok. LOL
出てきたティー。この食器に描かれているフォントがなんとも言えない可愛さ。ティーはいくらでもお代わり可能で数十種類から選べました。
The tea pot and the cup was cute with these messages written. No limits in the tea you can have and there were over 30 different types to choose from.
そして・・・！！！ついに・・・！！初のアフタンヌーンティーきたー！彼は牛乳アレルギーなのでちゃんとそのメニューもありました。さすが。
AANNNNDDD finallyyy!!! my first afternoon tea. My husband can't eat dairy products so they made him a special one. Impressed.
こちらもお代わり自由なもの。キャビアが乗っているサンドイッチからスモークサーモンのいくら乗せ、ハムエッグやキュウリサンドなどいろいろあって楽しめました。デザートはイチジクのムースからシュークリーム、などなど。
Theses were also all you can eat. There were sandwiches with caviar on, smoked salmon with salmon egg on top, ham egg to cucumber sandwich. The sweets included fig jelly to tarts and cream puff. Everything was delicious.
まだまだ続きます。クリームタルトにラズベリーのケーキ、ブルーベリーケーキまで。人生でこんなにスイーツ食べたの初めてかも。笑
Still continues!! Cream tarte to raspberry cake, blueberry cake. I think it was my first in lifetime that I ate so many sweets LOL
そして温められたスコーン！スコーンはバターをたっぷり使っていて本当に美味しかった。でもほんとお腹がいっぱいでした。
And lastly the scones!! It was rich with lots of butter in the dough but I was too full to eat it all!! My husband finished it off for me.
人生で初のアフタヌーンティーは大満足でした。ただ量が多かったので次はもう少し抑えめのとこがいいかも。
It was a fabulous experience for me in London. But it was a lot of sweets to eat at one time so maybe I should go to a place that has less numbers.
