My former colleague taught modern calligraphy so wanted to take her lesson but before I got the chance, I had to move to the Netherlands.

こちらに来てしまったのでレッスンを受けられずに残念に思ってました。
So I decided to look for a lesson in Amsterdam.
そこでアムステルダムでやってないか探して見ることに。
There aren’t much, but I found this site.

Its all in Dutch but I translated and got in contact with the person in charge.
全部オランダ語なので頑張って翻訳しつつ主催者に連絡。
She told me that the classes will be in Dutch but its fine to ask questions in English.
基本はオランダ語で教えるものの、英語で質問などは可能で参加は大歓迎とのこと。
So decided to give it a try.
そこで。意を決して行って来ました。
The workshop was near 9 street in Amsterdam.
アムステルダムの9ストリートの近くにあるワークショップを行うお店で開催。
As expected, the class was all in Dutch but I managed to hear some of the instructions.
やはり全部講座はオランダ語でしたが、なんとか聞き取りつつ受講。
There were 10 people so the teacher went around and taught each of us the tips one by one. I was able to ask her some questions in English.
参加者は10人ぐらいだったので個別にも教えてもらい
その際にいくつか英語でも質問をしました。
But since all were in Dutch, I couldn’t hear the detailed information and instructions.
ただオランダ語が完璧にわかった方が細かい指示などはわかったかもというのが感想。
At least I got the kit! Theres also a starter kit available online so that might be a good place to start :)
でもスターターキットなども売っているので初めてみるのはアリかも！
To become better, its just PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!
うまくなるにはとにかく地味ーな練習のみ。頑張ります。
