Chinese New Year

Its a little while ago, but there was a chinese new year festival in Den Haag.

My friend is Chinese Singaporean so she invited us to go :)

少し前ですが。中国の旧正月を祝うイベントがデン・ハーグでありました。

友達が中華系のシンガポール人なので誘われて行くことに。

The opening ceremony had the dancing of the lions and the dragons.

オープニングではライオンと龍のダンスがあってとても迫力がありました。

There was the mayor of Den Haag and it was pretty big event.

デン・ハーグの市長も来ていてなかなかの規模。

This mascot is the symbol for happiness and good luck for the new year.

この謎のキャラクター笑　友達曰く幸運を撒いてくれるものなんだとか。

We got this red envelope that had coupons to use. They usually have money in it.

こんな赤い袋も配っていて中にはまちで使えるクーポンが。中国だと普通現金が入っているんだって。

The fire crackers were going on and off several times!! After the cracks, the streets were filled with red papers.

なんども爆竹をつけて爆発させる音が聞こえました。実際に見たら結構すごかった。そのあとは道に赤い残骸が落ちていてある意味綺麗ではあった。

The small shops outside had the typical chinese decorations.

外の屋台では中国風の飾りが売られていました。
