Another long time no update.
久々のブログになってしまいました。
But I wanted to write this information so that it might help the other people who are traveling around Europe.
でもこの情報だけは出来るだけ多くの人に読んでもらいたいと思い投稿。
We went to France the other day using our car. We were planning on going to Strasbourg and then to Alsace region.
先週、フランスへ車で行こうと計画を立てていくことに。ストラスブルグを経由してアルザス地方に入る予定でした。
There was no problem of going into Germany like always, and we crossed the boarder of France.
いつも通りドイツへ入り、入国検査もなく通り過ぎてフランスとの国境沿いに。
Then a police office of France stopped our car. Other people were passing by but I guess we looked asian so they stopped us.
するとフランスの警官に国境で止められました。アジア人だったので止められたのかな？他の車はほとんどスルー。
They asked us to give our ID so we showed them our residential permit of the Netherlands.
身分証明を言われたのでレジデンシャルカードと運転免許書を提示。
They can't speak English that well and they told us to pull our car in front of the building next to the highway. As we got off the car, they told us that we need our passport. Its under Schengen Agreement so we told them why? but they would not listen and just kept on saying we needed our passport. Then they started to write papers that were in French.
相手は英語も流暢ではなく、とにかく高速沿いの建物へ車を寄せろとのこと。車を降りると職員の一人がパスポートも出せと。私たちはシェンゲン領域内だからいらないと思い、家にあると伝えると必要とのこと。フランス語の書類を書き始めました。
We thought that we can get away with it for 1 time since we never got stopped at Germany or even at Gare de Nord in France when we used Thalys but after writing the papers they told us we had to u-turn back to Germany. WTF?
知らなかった情報だし、ドイツ、ベルギーの国境沿いで止められたことは一度もないし、フランスにタリスで行った時にもパスポート確認なんて一度もされなかった（パスポート持ってたのに）からえ？？？という感じでした。そうこうしてるうちに書類を書き終わった職員がドイツにu-turnしたら身分証明を反対側の道で渡すとのこと。はい？
We told them that we were only going for tour for a few days and that we would send them the passport afterwards. BUT THEY WERE SO STUBBORN NOT LETTING US IN. The officer told us that we could GO BACK TO NETHERLANDS and GET OUR PASSPORT then come back. ARE YOU FUCKIN' SERIOUS?!? ITS A 6 HOUR DRIVE.
観光でフランスに行くだけだと伝えたり、あとでPDFでパスポート写真も送ると伝えたのでNONの一点張り。挙句に一旦オランダに戻ってパスポートとってきてまたくればいいとか言ってくるからキレ気味に6時間かかるから無理でしょと伝えた。
Well in the end we had to go back to Germany and we changed all of our tour plans....it ended up well but not a good experience at all! So folks out there who are planning on travelling to France, DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT!!! and not to mention your residential card.
最終的には警官たちも折れなくてしょうがなくドイツに引き戻すことに。ホテルやワイナリーのキャンセルをしてなんとか損害は最小限にしましたが、腹たつ〜。ドイツで急遽プラン変更をしてそれはよかったですが（のちに書きますが）オランダからフランスに行かれるみなさん、絶対にパスポート持って行くことをおすすめします。
