So theres this cute character in Albert Heijn that I just love.
On the weekends the flyer comes in sometimes with this cute little hamster on the paper! I even took some to save it for myself. オランダの独占スーパー、アルバートハイン。私がはまっているのがたまーに広告などで出てくるこのハムスター。表情が可愛くて広告を取っておいているぐらい（そんなに好きか）
I was wondering why it was hamster for all this time, when my Dutch friend told me the answer!

Hamsteren is a dutch word for someone who tries to gather and collect things in their house. So putting a double meaning with the english word hamster, which they gather food inside their mouth, they used the character. Well done!
Hamsterenというオランダ語は溜め込むという意味。それを英語のハムスターとかけてハムスターも自分のほっぺに色々物をためるから物をいっぱい買う人というのにかけているらしい。いっぱい買ってね！ということかしらね。面白い。
